Body Massage

 

Body Massage is probably the most popular of all complementary holistic therapies and has a huge beneficial effect on the body and mind. It is one of the most relaxing treatments to receive and to give. It really does leave your client feeling great whether its giving an express massage for a time-starved client or a longer more luxurious treatment maybe including face and scalp. This course is great as it provides options for each individual.  

This diploma course that will teach you how to give a full body massage and covers both Swedish and Holistic Massage.

Content - This 2 and a half day course covers some theory but is mainly practical work and requires 12 case studies. You will be required to complete both theory and practical assessments before your Diploma can be awarded. At completion of this course, you will know -

  • History & benefits of massage

  • How to carry out a consultation

  • Equipment needed

  • Massage movements

  • Massage oils

  • How to carry out a body massage

  • Professional Ethics/Code of Practice/Working Environment

  • Insurance and how to obtain it

Pre-requisite - A Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology (or equivalent) is required.  Amy's Beauty, Holistic and Training offers an online Anatomy and Physiology course. However, you will need to have completed Anatomy and Physiology training before you start the Body Massage course.

Booking & Payment - Complete the on-line booking form and an invoice will be sent to you. We accept payment by Bank Transfer, Credit/Debit Card, PayPal (please note there is a £5 admin fee for payments by credit/debit card and PayPal). If you wish to pay by instalments, a £50 deposit is required at the time of booking, Payment in full must be made 2 weeks before training commences.

Once your booking form and payment/deposit has been received, confirmation of your place on the course will be sent.
